"Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and wellbeing through occupation(WFOT, 2012)"
https://wfot.org/about/about-occupational-therapy
Occupational Therapists are experts in supporting you to find the meaning in the things you do every day, finding out what’s most important to you, and identifying solutions to any barriers that stop you doing what's meaningful.
Occupational therapy is a science-based health and social care profession that's regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
Yes! As a qualified Occupational Therapist, you can find me on the Health and Care Professions Council register https://www.hcpc-uk.org/check-the-register/.
I've put together a range of programme options, but please get in touch if you would like to discuss different options.
Sessions will be guided by your needs, your goals, and how you work best. At your initial consultation we'll have a discussion about how we could work together and what a session plan might look like. A key part of occupational therapy practice is reviewing what's working and how we can adapt to move you to where you want to be, so we we'll regularly review as we work together.
I want to offer a range of support so you're able to access what you need and when. I'm therefore working on courses and more worksheets as an alternative/addition to one to one sessions - more to come asap!
Most of my sessions will be offered via zoom video call or telephone calls, but I'm happy to meet in person if you're local to South Manchester and that would suit you better. If this is something you would like to discuss further, please email me karen@intentionandglow.co.uk.
I would love to host in person events locally and this is something I'm working on in the background - I'll keep you posted!
